ROUND ONE: CAMINO, CARROLL RUN ALL OVER DICKINSON STATE IN PLAYOFF OPENER
11/21/09 - John Camino made his family’s long drive to the Carroll College football game worth the trip.
When the Saints junior running back from Buffalo, Wyo., leapt over the Dickinson State (N.D.) defense for a 1-yard touchdown Saturday, he received a boisterous applause from his father, Dennis Camino, who had braved a bitter wind to congratulate him from the nearby sideline.
The running back would have a few more opportunities to shine before his family, which often drives six hours or more to see him play.

MEMORIES OF VICTORY: SAINTS SEARCH FOR MORE IN PLAYOFF RUN
11/21/09 - It’s the symbol of triumph. A symbol of victory. Carroll College’s own national championship trophy.
Standing just over 3 feet tall and topped by the gold helmet of a former Saint, it made its way through the hands of thousands of champions before being displayed for the throngs of fans that pass through the inner hallway at Nelson Stadium.
Its wood base forms a pyramid decorated with 39 steel plates, 36 of them carved with the names of the NAIA title winners, marking the road of so many great programs.
