The No. 18-ranked Saints will take on the Montana State-Northern tonight in a Frontier Conference match. Carroll follows that up Saturday with another conference match against the University of Great Falls. It will be the first two home games of the season for Carroll.
"It's nice to be at home and not have to travel," said Carroll coach Amy Heuiser. It's nice to have the home crowd in games in its nice to be in games that count."
The Saints are coming off a weekend where they were undefeated at the University of Montana-Western tournament.
The Lights are led by 6-foot-1 outside hitter Jasmine Mitchell.
"She definitely is going to be big in their offense," Heuiser said. Great Falls fell to the Saints last weekend in four games at the Western tourney. The Argos have lost four of their last five matches and seven of nine since they had a three-game winning streak to start the season.
Carroll uses a balanced attack. Three players, Tiffany Rochelle, Lena Mortensen and Natalie Solomon, have more than 100 kills this season.
"We have definitely had games where different people have stepped up at different times," Heuiser said.
Amber Carter paces the Saints defense from the libero position. Carter has 177 digs thus far this season.
"She is a stabilizing force for us as a defensive player," Heuiser said.
Both games will start at 7 p.m. at the Carroll P.E. Center.
