Good dealership

It has been said that the best/worst advertising a business can have is "word of mouth." I would like to do just that with an unsolicited positive response to a recent transaction my family experienced at our local car dealership Grimes Motors. With the recent rise in gas and diesel prices, we decided it was time to buy a newer car that would be comfortable to drive and deliver great fuel economy. With the help of salesman Rob Starz we were able to find exactly what we needed within our budget. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the people at Grimes Motors who made our buying experience an enjoyable one. Every person we dealt with, salesman Rob Starz, business manager Jeff Walker, and General Manager Tim Finn, treated us with respect and a degree of professionalism that removes the pressures of spending your hard-earned money on a new vehicle. If you're in the market for a new or used vehicle, we recommend you shop in your hometown of Helena, and start with Grimes Motors.

A day for recycling

On behalf of The Student Advocates for Valuing the Environment Foundation, we would like to invite you to celebrate America Recycles Day with us Monday evening, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m., at the Windsor Ballroom in the Iron Front Hotel, 415 N Last Chance Gulch.

We are a new non-profit that has evolved from recycling efforts at Carroll College and are dedicated to expanding recycling in Helena. This will be a festive occasion to celebrate our expanded involvement in the community with live music, exciting auction items and a keynote presentation on where we can take recycling in the Queen City.

This event is our invitation to you to become aware of our efforts and vision. We hope to see you there. Learn more by visiting our Web site at savemobile.org or calling 443-6323.

Pluralistic tyranny

I don't want to sound like a gloating Bush voter, but as I reflect back on this hectic week it becomes clear that the re-election of President Bush is more than a victory for one political party, but rather a triumph over tyranny. For far too long now we have been held in check by the tyrannical nature of secular-empiricism. Science is for those who don't know how (or what) to believe. Only those of little faith speak of a massive deficit, the folly of our current foreign intervention, and a worsening environment. These modern day chicken littles even believe the earth is gaining in temperature! Take faith brothers, the sky is not falling. And as further proof that freedom is on the march we were able to soundly defeat gay marriage and increase voter turnout for our Christian president in the process. A good first step towards overthrowing the notion of a pluralistic society forced upon us by the likes of Jefferson, Franklin and Washington. Tyrants one and all.

Great road job

I would like to give a big thank you to the Jefferson Co. road crew that recently re-gravelled our road. They did a superb job and we all appreciate it.
