Area student achievements

Jayme Eichler of Helena was named to the spring term Dean’s List at Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore.

David Fine of Helena graduated magna cum laude from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in American studies and political science.

Dan Mangis recently earned a doctorate degree in communications from the University of Texas, Austin. He is the son of Col. (ret.) Ed and Mrs. Ed Mangis of Helena.

Claire E. Hilmer of Clancy was named to the spring term Dean’s List at Boston University.

Nicholas Dietzen of Helena was named to the spring term Dean’s List at the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication.

Eric McEwen of Helena was named to the spring semester Dean’s List at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He is the son of John McEwen and Mary Musil of Helena.

Krista Cronholm recently received a $2,800 scholarship to attend Cottey College in Nevada, Miss., from the Montana State Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Krista, the daughter of Bob and Linda Cronholm of East Helena, was sponsored by the Helena Chapter AY.

Jared David Pitts of Helena was named to the spring term Dean’s List at Texas A&M University.

Terri Russell of Helena was recently awarded a $1,000 Bonhomme Scholarship from the University of Montana, where Russell is a psychology student.

Sam White of Helena was recently awarded a $1,000 Bonhomme Scholarship from the University of Montana where he is majoring in music performance. He is the son of Jim and Shelly White of Helena.

Bethany Stanbery of Helena was recently awarded a $1,250 UM License Plate/UM Foundation Scholarship at the University of Montana, where she is studying health and human performance. She is the daughter of Alan and Catherine Stanbery.

Paul Morgan of Helena was recently awarded a $1,000 UM License Plate/UM Foundation Scholarship at the University of Montana. He is the son of Paul Stahl and Judith Morgan.

Jordan Hess of Helena was recently awarded a $1,500 Louis V. Dubay Scholarship. He is the son of Bill and Darbie Hess.

Ryan Edwards of Helena was recently awarded a $1,000 Lulu L. Miles/Gamer Shoe Co. Memorial Scholarship. He is the son of Cindy Williams and Karl Edwards.

McKenzie Hunter Hannan graduated with a juris doctorate degree from the Hamline University School of Law, where she was also on the spring term Dean’s List. She is the daughter of Chris and Carol Hunter.

Ruby Ingebritson was named to the spring term President’s Honor Roll at Montana State University, where she earned a 4.0 GPA.

Cori Norgaard recently graduated with a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz. She is the daughter of Edward and Colleen Miller.
