By The Associated Press - 07/17/06

BILLINGS (AP) — Montana State University-Billings will offer two online bachelor’s degrees in a new format this fall to help people with two-year degrees to get more training in health care administration.

The “2+2” programs are designed for people who now are working. Two three-credit classes will be given online each nine-week term. The degrees are:

—A bachelor of science degree in liberal studies with a concentration in health care management and public relations.

—A bachelor of applied science degree with a concentration in health care administration.

Enrollees receive a $200 discount on tuition for each nine-week term.

Most of the nearly 40 students already signed up for the degrees work in health care, said Amy Beatty, coordinator of online student recruitment, support and retention.

MSU-Billings will work with a student’s two-year college to make certain previously earned credits will transfer.

The deadline to register for this fall is July 31.

For information about the program, call Beatty at 406 896-5998 or e-mail her at abeatty(at)msubillings.edu.
