Lightning victim name released

TOWNSEND - Broadwater County Sheriff Brenda Ludwig released the name Monday of Friday's lightning fatality on Canyon Ferry Lake.
Theodore Austin, 50, of Helena, was killed at approximately 3:20 Friday afternoon shortly after catching a fish.
Hail and rain squalls had rolled into the Townsend area several times that afternoon.
The accident was reported to have taken place near the east shore of Canyon Ferry across from the Silos.
Austin was alone in a fiberglass fishing boat, Ludwig said. There were approximately 15 to 20 other boats in the area at the time.
