n Yes. The president was trying to rush through a bill regarding an issue that is complex and difficult to resolve. For now, simply enforcing the laws that are already on the books, and securing our borders, would go a long way towards resolving the illegal immigrant problem in this country. We don’t need more laws, just enforcing of the laws that already exist.
n We are a country of laws and a constitution. When they enter our country illegally, they immediately become outlaws. There is no other way it can be viewed. We don’t need more crooks. It seems that every time the going gets rough, the politicians want to take the easy way out. I think they need to demand that our laws be enforced and quit making excuses.
n This bill was nothing but a gift to big business. In addition to compromising the border security of our nation and creating amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants, its passage would have guaranteed an inexhaustible supply of cheap foreign labor, which would lead to lower incomes and benefits for all American workers and their families. n It matters not how much lipstick they put on that bill, it still amounts to amnesty and a slap in the face of those who enter this country legally.
