Butte man dies in one-vehicle rollover
By ANGELA BRANDT - Independent Record - 12/13/07
Daniel Joseph Lacey was heading north in his 1993 pickup truck on secondary highway 518 at about 10 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
Alcohol was a factor in the wreck, Trooper Jeramy Rice said. It is not known if speed was a factor.
Lacey, the driver and sole occupant of the truck, failed to negotiate a corner, veered off the roadway and then overcorrected. The vehicle rolled at least twice, Rice said.
Lacey, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. He was pronounced dead after being transported to St. Peter’s Hospital.
