Galusha, Higgins & Galusha, Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, recently announced several additions to its staff.
Brad Cook joins the staff as an account manager. He brings 10 years of public accounting experience and is a graduate of the University of Montana.
Katie Cook brings previous experience with an accounting firm in Portland as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Her areas of expertise include auditing for non-profits, employee benefit plans and government entities.
Rissy Obert worked as an intern with the firm in 2007 and now joins full-time. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Carroll College.
Kristy Colling will graduate from Carroll College in May with a degree in accounting. She already holds a degree in finance. Bryson Pelc will graduate from Carroll College with a degree in accounting, business administration and finance and management.
Also, the firm recently announced a pair of promotions.
Tracy Kohl has been promoted to account manager. She joined the firm in 2004 and specializes in bookkeeping services and tax consultation and preparation.
Ryan Lindsay has been promoted to account manager. He has six years of experience and specializes in compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements as well as income tax consultation and preparation.
Amy Barrett Gilleran, owner of Lasso the Moon, recently joined ASTRA, the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association, which encourages members to educate parents and the community about the importance of play and share information about appropriate toys and playthings.
Recognition
Peter W. Sullivan of Sullivan Financial Group has earned 34 consecutive years of membership in the Million Dollar Round Table, an independent association representing top sales professionals in the financial services business.
Meetings
The Montana Bed and Breakfast Association will offer an Aspiring Innkeepers full-day seminar on April 20 at the Best Western Helena Great Northern Hotel. The seminar is geared toward those who have been interested in owning or managing a bed and breakfast but are not sure where to begin, and will include information on licensing, taxes and business insurance.
