Vehicle destroyed in small grass fire
By John Harrington - Independent Record - 05/18/08
“We got a report that a young boy, a 7-year-old boy, was playing with matches or a lighter near his house and started the fire,” said Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Cheryl Liedle.
Liedle said the boy’s father tried to get ahead of the fire but couldn’t, prompting the rescue call. The fire burned approximately two acres.
Liedle said no structures were destroyed, but the fire did claim a Jeep Cherokee belonging to the family.
