Cross-eyed cutie

Cece is a stunning 6-year-old spayed female pit bull with white fur and brown ears and eye patches.

And when she gazes at you, you’ll notice that she’s a little cross-eyed.

CeCe doesn’t need glasses, though. She needs a new home. CeCe was at the shelter in 2006 and was adopted by a local family. All was going well until a new member of the family developed allergies.

So CeCe is back —- and with a good recommendation. Her family says CeCe was a wonderful companion who is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. She will sit and come on command and loves walks in the neighborhood. She also enjoys vigorous play with rope toys and tennis balls.

Dogs can’t cross their fingers to make a wish, so CeCe is crossing her eyes and wishing with all her heart for an active family with children, a fenced yard, toys to play with, and lots of love to share.

You can meet CeCe and other adoptable dogs today between noon and 3 p.m. on the patio of the Park Avenue Bakery, 44 S. Park Ave. Adoptable cats will be available today between noon and 3 p.m. at Sole Sisters, 327 N. Last Chance Gulch. Many other adoptable companion animals await you at the Lewis and Clark Humane Society, 1712 E. Custer Ave. The shelter’s telephone number is 442-1660.
