The Brewers equaled a club record with their ninth straight road win and stayed four games back of NL Central-leading Chicago.

CHICAGO (AP) Reed Johnson had three hits and Geovany Soto drove in two runs for Chicago.
Ted Lilly improved to 10-2 in his last 12 decisions and the Cubs have won six of their last seven games. Lilly battled through early control problems to pitch 6 1/3 solid innings. Phillies 2, Cardinals 1
ST. LOUIS (AP) Joe Blanton won his first game since joining Philadelphia in a mid-July trade, riding home runs from Ryan Howard and Greg Dobbs.
Dobbs, who leads the majors with 20 pinch hits, hit his fourth of the season on the first pitch of the third from Braden Looper (10-9).
Marlins 5, Rockies 3
MIAMI (AP) Ricky Nolasco struck out a career-high 13 and Jeff Baker hit a two-run homer to lead Florida.
Nolasco (11-6) allowed three runs and four hits over eight innings to earn his first win in five appearances since July 7.
Nationals 10, Reds 6
WASHINGTON (AP) Pete Orr picked up his first RBI in more than 15 months, slapping a pinch-hit, two-run single into left field in the seventh inning Saturday night to put the Washington Nationals ahead to stay in a 10-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds.
Orr’s single capped a four-run inning and gave the Nationals something they haven’t had since June a two-game winning streak at home.

HOUSTON (AP) Lance Berkman raced home when Darin Erstad lined out to left in the 10th inning and the Houston Astros beat the New York Mets 5-4 Saturday night after tying it on a memorable play in the ninth inning.

SAN DIEGO (AP) Barry Zito gave up three hits in a season-high eight innings to outpitch Jake Peavy and lead the San Francisco Giants to a 2-0 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday night.

LOS ANGELES (AP) Manny Ramirez and Casey Blake hit their first home runs as National Leaguers and Hiroki Kuroda pitched well into the eighth inning, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night.
