By ANGELA BRANDT - Independent Record - 08/13/08
Grace Lee Grady-Briere faces a felony charge of assault with a weapon.
Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Aspen Street in response to a fight in progress at 1:13 a.m. Tuesday, according to documents filed in Justice Court.
Officers observed a large spot on the carpet of the apartment that appeared to be blood and found the boyfriend in the bathroom with blood dripping off of his face from a large laceration on his right eyelid and a golf-ball-sized bump on his forehead, the documents say.
The boyfriend told police he and Grady-Briere had gotten into an argument, about what he could not recall, court documents state. Police noted numerous cans of beer were found on the floor as well as the Lipton tea bottle.
The man was transported to the hospital in order to receive stitches, according to the documents. Grady-Briere is being held at the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond.
