Frontier announces soccer players of week

Vanessa Peters, a 5-foot-7 senior goalkeeper from Rocky Mountain College, earned the Defensive award.
Rocky Mountain went 2-0 for the week earning two shutouts: 2-0 over College of Idaho and 1-0 over Eastern Oregon. Peters recorded nine saves on nine shots on goal. Also nominated, Dayna Winter-Nolte of Westminster College.
On offense, Jennifer Pirente, a 5-foot-3 senior forward from Westminster College earned the award. The Griffins defeated Cascade College 2-0 and San Diego Christian 3-1, and lost to No. 22 Concordia University of Calif., 0-1. For the week, Pirente had three goals and six points. Also nominated, Meghan O’Connell of Carroll College and Chloe Pennisi of Rocky Mountain.
