Saints spikers cruise by Northern; Carroll soccer falls to Simon Fraser

Hayley Otteson had 9 kills and three blocks and Christina Smetana added 7 kills as the Saints improved to 12-4 overall, 4-1 in Frontier play.
“We had a lot of fun playing in front of a big crowd,” Carroll coach Moe Boyle said. “That really boosted our energy level.”
Sammy Priddy had six kills and 11 digs for the Saints and Katie St. John added 16 assists.
Carroll plays at 10th-ranked Lewis-Clark State Thursday.
Carroll Soccer The women’s soccer team split a pair of games on a trip to Canada.
The Saints beat Trinity Western 2-1 Thursday, but lost 4-1 to Simon Fraser Saturday.
Forward Bobbi Allard scored a goal in each game and Tayt Ellison scored Thursday for the Saints, 6-3 overall, who return to conference action against Westminster, Oct. 7.
