Lorelee Rae Robinson

Lorelee Rae Robinson, 55, passed away on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Lorelee was born on Sept. 24, 1953, to Kenneth and Viola Trettin. She was raised in Boulder with her three sisters and two brothers. After graduating from Boulder High School, Lorelee married Boyd G. Andrew and they had two children, Heidi and David. Lorelee then married Edward J. Robinson on Aug. 15, 1986, and resided in Helena. She was happily married to her best friend for 22 years.

Lorelee worked many years for the Department of Labor and Industry and was appointed as the first Coordinator of the Jobs for Montana’s Graduates (JMG) program. The JMG program was Lorelee’s passion. She traveled and made many good friends. Her efforts made JMG a model program that was duplicated nationwide.

Lorelee’s first love was her family and friends. She always put their needs above her own. Lorelee was a very strong person and had a wonderful sense of humor and was always very upbeat and positive, even during her most difficult times. She loved to travel, especially to warm climates with family and friends, golfing, and most importantly, spend time with her grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Her legacy will continue in our hearts forever.

Lorelee is survived by her husband, Edward J. Robinson of Helena; daughter, Heidi (Ron) Durbin and three children, Amber, Tyler and Haley, of Kalispell; son, David Andrew of Helena and two children, Devon and Dakota, and their mother, Danielle Vandagriff of Virginia; Lorelee’s mother, Viola Trettin of Helena; sisters, Carol (Harvey) Simpson of Yuma, Ariz., Shirley (Bob) Chamberlin of Helena and Loretta (Bruce) Fill of New Jersey; brothers, Larry (Pam) Trettin and Danny (Karen) Trettin of Helena; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Bob (Louise) Robinson, Mary (Van) Charlton, Sharon Robinson and Mick (Nancy) Robinson, all of Helena, Joe (Judy) Robinson of Billings and Thomas (Patricia) Robinson of Las Vegas, Nev.; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Helena with a reception that will follow at Jorgenson’s.

Memorials can be mailed to The James and Geraldine Robinson Scholarship Fund at Carroll College, 1601 North Benton Ave., Helena MT 59625; The Jobs for Montana’s Graduates Foundation, P.O. " Our deepest sympathy, love, and continued prayers go to all of Lorelee's family. We have known Lorelee since she was just a child, who grew up to be a beautiful woman, wife, mother, and friend. She was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her, and was as beautiful inside as she was outside. She fought so hard and is now at peace. God bless you all.

" I will always remember Lorelee as a beautiful woman. Growing up as a child we lived a few ditches away and would walk the ditches to arrive for a play date with Heidi. (although they weren't called that then) Now that I am a grown woman and a mother myself I can't help but remember what a wonderful mother Lorelee was. We would arrive at her house and the house would be spotless. It was always so clean and tidy. Heidi and David were busily doing there chores, keeping their rooms clean and the belongings picked up. I will remember Lorelee not only for the beautiful person she in inside and out but how great she was at instilling moral ethics and building character in her family.
I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We will all miss this inspiring woman. "

" Loralee was an insperation to so many students, including myself. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

I did not know Loralee well, but I was a member of JMG. I remember at all the conferences, her passion and confidence was always shining through. So witty, so happy... so intelligent. I can remember wanting to grow up and become successful like her. I'll never forget the hope she installed in my young mind; I will always remember and cherish the small memories I have of her. I am very greatful for her, and JMG, as it has helped me become the strong woman I am today. Thank you Loralee, I'll never forget you! "

" So sorry to hear of your loss. I visited with Loralee when she had her first battle with cancer. My daughter had it and we talked about the different treatments. I thought Loralee's had worked. My daughter died 5 years ago at the age of 35. She was a lovely lady and gave me comfort. Blessings to you all. "
