Aaron J. Capps

FAIRFIELD — Aaron J. Capps, 28, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident north of Fairfield.

There will be a gathering of friends and family at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the home of Greg and Kim Yeager, 38 2nd Ave. SW, in Choteau. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Funeral Home of Choteau.

Aaron was born April 15, 1980, in Helena, the son of Jeff and Pam (Logan) Capps. He was raised and educated in Helena and attended Choteau High School for one quarter, graduating in 1998. He was a skilled carpenter for the last 10 years.

He enjoyed hunting and fly fishing, golfing and doing custom woodwork. He also enjoyed camping and especially enjoyed being in the mountains. Aaron loved being with his many friends and family.

Aaron is survived by his parents, Jeff and Pam Capps of Fairfield; a sister, Lacey Capps and Nick Marquesen of Missoula; paternal grandparents, Frank and Barbara Capps of Helena; maternal grandparents, Bob and Faye Logan of Helena; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Clare Maierle, Harold Tilzey, Bennett Logan and Agnes Hurley; his paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Wilma Mattmiller and Peggy Hawkes; a cousin, Jesse Capps; uncles, Mike Logan and Ron Capps; and aunt, Terry Capps.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
