POCATELLO, Idaho - Cameron Higgins passed for 369 yards and three touchdowns as Weber State trounced Idaho State 59-27 on Saturday to earn the Big Sky Conference Championship and a spot in the FCS playoffs.

Weber State running back Trevyn Smith scored two touchdowns, rushing for 140 yards on 18 carries and adding 86 yards on seven catches. Junior wide receiver Tim Toone added five catches for 179 yards and one touchdown to lead an offense that racked up 666 total yards and committed no turnovers.

Weber State (9-2, 7-0 Big Sky Conference) blew the game open in the second half, scoring 28 points, including 14 off Bengal turnovers, in a span of 1:57.

Weber State cornerback Josh Morris intercepted three Bengal passes while his teammates limited the offense to 349 total yards.

Eastern Washington 31, Northern Colorado 16

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Matt Nichols connected with Aaron Boyce for two touchdowns to lead Eastern Washington to a 31-16 win Saturday over Northern Colorado.

Northern Colorado (1-8, 1-5 Big Sky) trailed 7-6 at halftime after Michael York scored a pair of field goals for the Bears. But Taiwan Jones opened the second half by returning a kickoff 93 yards for Eastern Washington (4-5, 3-3) for a touchdown. Eastern Washington led 21-6 after Nichols' second TD pass to Boyce four minutes later.

Sacramento State 29, UC Davis 19

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) - Sophomore quarterback Jason Smith threw three touchdown passes and ran for another to help Sacramento State beat UC Davis 29-19 in the 55th Annual Causeway Classic.

Senior wide receiver Tony Washington caught four passes for 81 yards and three touchdowns for the Sacramento State Hornets (5-5), who ended an eight-game losing streak to UC Davis that dates back to 1999.

Junior receiver Chris Carter caught eight passes for 104 yards and ran for 35 yards and touchdown for the UC Davis Aggies (5-5), who still lead the series 39-16. Sophomore running back Joe Trombetta ran for 114 Yards and had one costly fumble for the Aggies.
