Men's basketball: Gonzaga rolls Maryland, advances to Old Spice final

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Josh Heytvelt had 22 points and Gonzaga beat Maryland 81-59 to advance to the championship of the Old Spice Classic.

Austin Daye added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Gonzaga (4-0), which finished a close first half with a 10-2 run to take a 38-29 halftime lead.

Greivis Vasquez had 16 points for Maryland (4-1), which upset No. 5 Michigan State in the first round.

NEW YORK (AP) — Blake Griffin had 18 points, including the go-ahead free throws in overtime, and matched a career high with 21 rebounds to help No. 11 Oklahoma rally past No. 10 Purdue 87-82 on Friday in the championship of the NIT Season Tip-Off.
