Names and Faces
Scott H. Clement has joined Smith Law Firm as an associate. Clement is a Montana native who recently returned from Portland, Ore. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Carroll College and a J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law. He is a member of the Oregon and Montana state bar associations, and his general civil practice includes real estate, water law, commercial transactions and general civil litigation.
Montana American Civil Liberties Union recently announced a pair of new Helena employees.
Cathy Day, public policy administrator, joins the ACLU from the University of Great Falls, where she was vice president for enrollment and student services. She previously spent 16 years as canonical consultant for the Catholic Diocese of Great Falls-Billings.
Claudia Montagne, development director, has 26 years experience in teaching, public health and the arts in Montana. She was most recently executive director of the Montana Artists Refuge, and will work with the board in membership and donor development, grant writing and events planning.
Chris Newman has joined American Federal Savings Bank as branch supervisor in Townsend. He previously held various positions with Broadwater Printing and was a home lender with the State Bank of Townsend. He will assist as the Townsend branch expands to include consumer loans and mortgages.
Great West Engineering recently announced two additions to its Helena staff.
Daniel Karlin's responsibilities will include design and construction inspection of transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the state. He recently graduated from Montana State University and has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam to become a licensed Engineer Intern in Montana.
Kevin Bone joins the firm as a GIS specialist/AutoCADD technician. He has more than 12 years of experience in the GIS/engineering field.
Ray Torella recently joined the staff of Century 21 Heritage Realty as a Realtor. He brings 15 years of experience in insurance sales. He can be reached at 449-5950.

Sandra Marston of Advanced Rehab Physical Therapy Clinic recently completed 48 hours of advanced training in the treatment of chronic neck and mid-back pain and injuries at Andrews University in Michigan.

PSMJ provides planning, management and marketing information and services for the design and construction industries. Great West employs 38 in its Helena and Billings offices.
Hot Springs Spas of Helen was recently awarded a 2006 Retail Excellence Award by its hot tub manufacturer, Hot Spring Spas, for commitment to professionalism, product knowledge and customer service.
