Names and Faces
Matthew Fischer, a therapist at Fischer Physical Therapy, has qualified to teach primal reflex release technique after completing an advanced PRRT course and instructor course in San Diego.
Joe Boule, coordinator of St. Peter's Sleep Disorders Center, was recently awarded his Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential, having demonstrated core knowledge and passing an exam. Boule becomes one of 49 people in Montana and 9,700 worldwide who are accredited.
Grayson Lenik has joined Morrison-Maierle Systems Corp. as a senior network technician. He previously worked for five years for IBM at the American Express Data Center in Phoenix as a systems administrator and Windows tech lead.
Morrison-Maierle Inc. recently announced that two staff members have passed the Principles and Practices of Engineering Examination to become licensed professional engineers.
Cory Kesller is an engineer in the firm's airport division and has been with Morrison-Maierle since 2002. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Montana State University.
Matt Pool is an engineer in the firm's transportation division and has been with Morrison-Maierle since 2001. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Carroll College.
Brent Rehm has been named vice president, financial consultant, branch manager of the Helena office of D.A. Davidson & Co. Rehm will continue to work with his own clients and oversee the management and day-to-day operations of the 23-person office. He joined the firm in 1987 and was most recently assistant branch manager. He holds a bachelor's degree in business from Montana State University.
Rehm replaces Terry Cohea, who relinquishes her management duties to focus on serving her clients. She joined D.A. Davidson in 1993 after an 18-year career in state government, and became branch manager in 2001. She was the first female chief-of-staff to a Montana governor, working under then-Gov. Ted Schwinden.
Changes
Personnel Plus! and sister business Westaff of Helena will move to a larger location at the end of January. The new address will be 210 E. Lyndale in Helena. Telephone and fax numbers and email addresses will remain the same.
Learning Ops
The University of Montana-Helena College of Technology is offering instruction on Adobe InDesign CS2 software as part of its desktop publishing course. The course gives students a basic understanding of designing and producing newsletters, brochures, posters and more. The course begins on Jan. 24 and is held Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 5:50 p.m. through the spring semester. For more information, contact the admissions office at 444-6826.
Briefcase guidelines
The IR welcomes reports of hirings, promotions, awards, recognition, learning opportunities and other news from local companies and non-profits. We accept press releases and photos (digital images at 200 dpi or more are preferred, but we can also use regular photos; we don't guarantee return of these).
There is no charge for items appearing in the Business Briefcase. Items are run on a space-available basis, and we reserve the right to edit and use information as we see fit. The deadline is Tuesday at noon to be considered for publication the following Sunday.
The best way to send information and photos is by e-mail to john.harrington@helenair.com. We also accept information by fax (447-4052), snail mail (P.O. Box 4249 Helena, MT 59601-4249, attention John Harrington), or you can drop it off at our downtown office, located at 317 Cruse Ave.
