Names and Faces
The Helena chapter of SCORE, Counselors to America's Small Business, recently announced its officers for 2009.
Chick Rolling continues as chairman. He has more than 20 years of experience in finance and business development and has been with SCORE since 1996.
Lon Schroeder was named vice-chair and assistant director of Montana SCORE. He brings 35 years of experience in the forest-products industry.
Concetta Eckel will serve as chapter treasurer. She is the partnership and communications specialist for the Montana AARP Tax Aide Program.
Bob Russell was named secretary. He has extensive Wall Street experience as a financial consultant and joined SCORE in 1997.
The University of Montana-Helena College of Technology recently announced several additions to its faculty, including: Joella Feary-Foust, life sciences instructor; Kim Haughee, mathematics instructor; Steve Lewis, English instructor; Leonard Miller, aviation technology; Rick Purcell, diesel/automotive; Scott
Schneckloth, welding technology; Seth Slocum, welding technology; and Mary Ann Zeisler, nursing.
Don Dunigan has joined the Red Lion Colonial Hotel as executive chef. He brings 31 years of experience and was most recently executive chef at The Inn at Otter Crest, Flying Dutchman Restaurant in Newport, Ore.
Leonard Dueck has joined Great West Engineering in the firm's Municipal Group. He is a 2004 graduate of Montana Tech and brings a background in land development, municipal water and sewer systems and road design.
Intermountain recently announced two additions to its staff.
Leanne Woodland joins Intermountain as associate director. She was previously chief marketing/business development officer for SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland, Tenn. She holds a bachelor's in mass communications and business development from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
First Impressions Salon recently announced two additions to its staff: Angie Fawcett, nail tech, 594-4005; Carlene Buechler, stylist, 600-0629.
Recognition
Stahly Engineering was awarded the Montana Grand Project Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies for the firm's work on the Town of Manhattan Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The IR welcomes reports of hirings, promotions, awards, recognition, learning opportunities and other news from local companies and non-profits. We accept press releases and photos (digital images at 200 dpi or more are preferred, but we can also use regular photos; we don't guarantee return of these).
There is no charge for items appearing in the Local Briefcase. Items are run on a space-available basis, and we reserve the right to edit and use information as we see fit. The deadline is Tuesday at noon to be considered for publication the following Sunday.
