Marcella Sherfy Walter has been hired as SHIP counselor, information and assistance specialist and director of the Helena Senior Center by Area IV Agency on Aging at Rocky Mountain Development Council. She previously worked with the Senior Companion Program at RMDC and served as Montana's state historic preservation officer at the Montana Historical Society. She can be reached at 457-7354.

Hillary Q. Carter, doctor of audiology, recently joined Comprehensive Hearing Services. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of South Dakota and her doctorate from the School of Audiology at Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She moves to Helena from Buffalo, N.Y., where she practiced for five years.

Aimee Shandy has been promoted to assistant branch manager at Westaff of Helena. She has more than nine years of experience in customer service and can be reached at 443-7169.

Morrison-Maierle, Inc. recently announced a pair of additions to its corporate staff.

Robert C. Glassen has joined the firm's leadership team as the corporate director of business development. He brings more than 25 years of experience in technical consulting and business development and will work closely with the chief marketing officer. He is a Registered Professional Geologist and holds a bachelor's degree in geology from Villanova University and a master's in environmental science from the University of Virginia.

K.C. Hill, a CPA, will succeed Larry Bickell as the firm's chief financial officer on Jan. 1, responsible for the firm's accounting practices and financial planning. Hill holds an MBA from the University of Montana and a bachelor's degree in business accounting from Montana State University, and is very active in the Helena community.

Montana Municipal Insurance Authority announced two recent additions to its staff.

Angie Mullikin joins the organization as an accounting associate. She holds a degree in business management from Montana Tech and previously worked for the State of Montana Department of Administration.

Pam McGuire joins the organization as an administrative support/scanning technician and will assist the Workers' Compensation department as a claims technician. She previously worked for FME Federal Credit Union in Michigan as well as for Simkins, Inc.

Changes

Bob and Rachel Krug recently opened a new jewelry and gift store, Imagine Designs, at 601 Euclid Ave., Suite A. The business specializes in custom jewelry in sterling silver, steel and gold as well as a selection of novelty gifts, scarves and bags. Bob Krug has been designing and manufacturing jewelry for more than 15 years, while Rachel Krug brings 20 years of experience in the jewelry business and recently started her own line of jewelry. Mary C. Sims recently opened a practice in neurobehavioral medicine, dealing with conditions that fall into the area where neurology and psychiatry overlap. She was previously medical director for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana and has worked on the payer side of healthcare delivery since 2000. Prior to that she was in private neurology practice. The Big Sky Chapter of the American Business Women's Association is selling cheese logs for its annual scholarship fundraiser.
