Drink of the week: Double Black Diamond Extreme Stout, Blackfoot River Brewing Co.
- Price: $4.25/pint
- Suggested by: Silver Star Steak Company
- Brewer's notes: This wonderfully thick stout gets most of its dark color from lots of black roasted, un-malted barley. Flaked barley and English torrified wheat are added to enhance its creamy head. Alcohol 6.9 percent by volume.
- Comments: "The Blackfoot River Brewing Company has been a locally owned and operated brewery specializing in fine handcrafted beers since January '99. We have chosen this stout, -- a foreign style, full bodied and hearty, with flavors of smoke and chocolate -- for the winter season."
- Others say: "The Blackfoot River Brewing Company's ... focus is the beer, of course, so be sure to try a pint of the Woollybugger or the Double Black Diamond Extreme Stout. Growlers to go are cheap on Wednesdays and there's often live Irish music on Tuesdays. Be warned that state brewery laws make it close early."
