Drink of the week: Double Black Diamond Extreme Stout, Blackfoot River Brewing Co.

- Brewer's notes: This wonderfully thick stout gets most of its dark color from lots of black roasted, un-malted barley. Flaked barley and English torrified wheat are added to enhance its creamy head. Alcohol 6.9 percent by volume.

- Comments: "The Blackfoot River Brewing Company has been a locally owned and operated brewery specializing in fine handcrafted beers since January '99. We have chosen this stout, -- a foreign style, full bodied and hearty, with flavors of smoke and chocolate -- for the winter season."
