The Montana Gerontology Society will have its 27th annual conference, "Living Longer, Living Better" April 15-16 at the Red Lion Colonial Inn.
The conference will feaure two keynote addresses.
Dr. Palma Flamino will give a presentation titled "Depression, Delirium, Dementia" April 15, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Flamino has 30 years' experience in mental health. She is a clinical consultant with Horizon Health.
Dr. Steven Masley, president of Masley Optimal Health Center, will speak April 16, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Masley's talk will discuss how to optimize health, enhance coginitive performance and reverse the top five nutritional deficiencies.
The conference will include sessions on living old and living well; elder abuse and financial exploitation; dementia care; fitness for aging adults; fitness screening for aging adults; and American Indian perspectives on quality of life and quality care.
Cost for the entire conference is $120 for society members and $150 for nonmembers. Students and seniors over 65 pay $50. Single-day registration is $70 for members, $90 for nonmembers and $30 for students and seniors over 65. Tickets for keynote speakers are $10.
