buy this photo George Lane IR staff photographer - Diane Pearson talks about the biofeedback process and how it can help with stress reduction, as she hooks up her husband, Daryl.

Diane Pearson believes that all disease is misplaced energy.

Pearson, with the help of a powerful medical software program, uses her client's own energy to invert the incorrect energy frequencies in the body and sends the correct frequency.

Pearson is a biofeedback technician who specializes in stress reduction and quantum energy therapy - a lay person with no medical background.

"As biofeedback technicians we work with relaxation, stress reduction and pain management," she said. "In my opinion all disease comes from stress, so by reducing stress we may help reduce symptoms."

The Quantum Xrroid Consciousness Interface, or EPFX, and the Scientific Consciousness Interface Operations system make up a computer-driven system of biofeedback developed by Dr. Bill Nelson. It is the first holistic health device registered in the United States, although it is used all over the world.

A client is connected to the system using head, wrist and ankle straps. The straps do not cause pain and are noninvasive. The EPFX analyzes a person's electrical reaction to over 9,000 health issues (similar to the virus scan on a computer).

Using the principles of quantum physics, the device interprets the results and sends the body a correcting pattern if needed, or reinforces good patterns to help the body heal itself. All the energy used in the therapy comes only from a client's own biological energy and not from the EPFX/SCIO system.

There are over 70 therapies offered; some include, electro acupuncture, allergy desensitization, spinal, dental, nutrition, chakra balancing, detoxification, reflexology and aromatherapy.

"We will be training your body to relax," Pearson said. "The EPFX will be balancing your system and teaching your body how to relax and this in turn will reduce your stress. We do don't treat - we balance."

Pearson does not diagnose, prescribe or cure, but rather teaches and coaches her clients to train their bodies new ways to deal with stress.

The session generally takes more than an hour and less than two hours. Pearson says it usually takes between five and 10 sessions one to three weeks apart to reduce long-term stresses. The cost is $100 per session, of $400 for five sessions.

Pearson says it is a process and her clients should not expect to see immediate results.

"We are programmed in today's society to have a quick fix - like give me a drug," she said. "That is not what this program is about."

The system uniquely deals with each person as each person reacts to stress differently. Stress can come from many sources, such as toxicity, trauma, pathogens, mental factors, allergies, habits, etc.

She was introduced to biofeedback when she attended a session with a friend and immediately became fascinated with it. After participating in a session herself, she was 150 percent convinced of its effectiveness, she said. So Pearson sought out training, became certified in December and started her own biofeedback office in Helena where she has lived since 1993.

In addition to the biofeedback available at Pearson's office is the Aqua-Chi detoxification foot spa. This hydro-stimulation spa is a bio-energy charger designed to work through the medium of water by making available extra energy that the living cell can utilize.

The Aqua-Chi generates a continuous direct current which passes through multiple sets of electrodes specifically designed to produce large quantities of negative ions while submersed in water. The structural organization of the body and water are similar, allowing the electrolytic charge produced to be absorbed by the living tissue. This phenomenon produced in the water by electrolysis is termed ionization.

Upon completion the water becomes very discolored. Just how discolored the water becomes is related to how much sediment is in the actual water, diet and environmental exposures.

Proponents say the Aqua-Chi works well at the end of the biofeedback session, or can be offered on its own.
