The Helena Outdoor Club has released its list of activities planned for June.

This Saturday, there will be an all-day adventure at Spring Gulch, near Mann Gulch 9 am. to 6:30 p.m. This is a Montana Wilderness Association/Helena Outdoor Club joint trip. Contact Helen Fee at helenfee@msn.com.

Also Saturday, there will be a trip to Métis Peak & Arches Mountain on the Rocky Mountain Front west of Choteau. The trip begins and ends with a ford of the South Fork of the Teton River. The strenuous, six-mile trek crosses the narrow ridge of Métis Peak with a return down an unnamed gulch. These summits provide spectacular views of the Rocky Mountain Front. Elevation gain is more than 3,000 feet. Call 442-1619

On Sunday, there will be a day hike on the Clary Coulee Trail. To the east the hiker can look upon the broad expanse of the plains while to the west rises truly unspoiled high rocky walls and peaks of the Front. Call 442-1619.
