Wildlife photographer Donald M. Jones, of Troy, includes 96 images of wildlife young in his new book, "Born Wild in Montana."
From red fox kits to red-necked grebe chicks to bison, the book features wild babies in settings from the prairies to Glacier National Park.
Jones has photographed wildlife for more than two decades. His captions include anecdotes about his experiences in creating the images, such as the black bear sow whose three cubs were carried on her back opossum-style and the cubs pushing each other off until just one clung atop mom.
The softcover full-color book is published by Farcountry Press of Helena and is part of the "Born Wild" series, which includes titles in Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks and other sites.
