Construction on a new turning lane begins today on Custer Avenue at Cooney Drive, potentially causing traffic delays during construction.

The work is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and for the next 10 days. Officials at Four Georgians Elementary School are asking parents to utilize the parking area near the old Playtime Video east of the playground for picking up and dropping off students.

Bus loading and unloading has been temporarily relocated from the fence line at the Bill Roberts Golf Course to the area between the walking path and the school.
