Three Helena teens face felony burglary charges for stealing money and items from Helena High School on four occasions.
Police arrested Alexander Carrera McCormack, 19, and Anthony Richard Lapan, 19, on felony charges of burglary by common scheme and cited a 16-year-old boy for felony burglary for allegedly stealing about $200 in cash and hot dogs from the school store, along with three projectors worth about $2,000 and an amplifier worth about $500.
Following the last burglary on May 4, police were able to identify the 16-year-old by video from a camera authorities installed after the first three burglaries, which first occurred at the end of March, according to documents filed in Justice Court.
Police later found out McCormack, a senior at Helena High, and Lapan were the other two suspects in the video.
The teens entered the school with keys, which were stolen from a school staff member earlier in the year.
Two of the projectors, the amplifier and the hot dogs have been located by police and returned to the school, court documents note.
