Student Advocates for Valuing the Environment will hold its bimonthly plastics drive Nov. 6 to Nov. 9.
The drive will be from 8 a.m.to 6 p.m. near the YMCA parking lot at 1100 North Last Chance Gulch.
S.A.V.E. will be accepting type 1 clear plastics (water, soda bottles), type 2 natural color (standard milk jugs) and type 2 color plastics (laundry detergent bottles).
Containers should be rinsed, lids removed and types of plastics separated before they are brought to the event.
Motor oil containers and yogurt containers are not recyclable. Vegetable oil containers must be washed.
The drive is sponsored by City-County Sanitation, the City of Helena, Pacific Steel and Recycling and General Services of the State of Montana.
Additional support is provided by the Montana Beverage Association, Headwaters Recycling Cooperative, MDM Supply and Carroll College. Volunteers are needed for this event to greet and direct people.
