Three businesses targeted in a Helena Police Department compliance check Thursday night sold alcohol to underage volunteers.
According to Helena Police Chief Troy McGee, employees at the Silver Star, the Rialto, and Miller's Crossing were cited for failing to check identification.
Businesses that were found in compliance are as follows: Best Bet Casino, Town Pump on Euclid, Copper Club Casino, Bullwinkles, Sunset Casino, Montana Nugget Casino, Nickel Ante, Last Chance Casino, Western Bar, Gold Bar, Bert and Ernie's, O'Toole's, Riley's, On Broadway, and Red Lion Inn.
The sting was part of an ongoing effort by local law enforcement to crack down on underage alcohol use.
The HPD offers responsible server training for area businesses to assist them in understanding the law.
McGee's goal is to achieve 100 percent compliance in these types of checks.
