The Oro Fino Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently announced the winner of its Good Citizen contest for seniors in area high schools.

Eileen Brennan of Capital High will now compete in the statewide contest. A national winner will be named later in the year at the national DAR convention.

Brennan was elected public service commissioner at Girls State and is active in choir, the Key Club, in which she is president, National Honor Society, Outdoor Club, soccer, DARE and the Festival of Trees. She also takes part in church music ministry and nursing home entertainment.

The contest winners at other area high schools were Lindsay Johnson at Helena High; Christopher Jacobs at Lincoln High, and Callie Kempton at Broadwater County High.
