Cut-a-thon raises $900 for mammography equipment

A Cut-a-Thon at Dillard's Hair and Nail Salon in October raised $929 for St. Peter's Hospital digital mammography.

Reduced-rate hair cuts were offered by Dillard's stylists who donated their time and services.

St. Peter's Foundation is raising funds for new digital mammography which provides more accurate images of unusual or dense breast tissue and less time is needed to obtain images which provide quicker results and less anxiety for the patient.

"The foundation is grateful to Dillard's for hosting this event and to the stylists who donated their time to raise money for this worthwhile cause," said St. Peter's Annual Giving Director Doris Romanisko.
