The Helena Chapter of the Montana Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) will host the statewide "Seasons of Refreshing" conference Friday and Saturday, March 11-12.

The keynote presenter for the two-day event will be Joe Maxwell, a national CMA evangelist in the Northwest.

The conference meetings will be held at the First Baptist Church, 201 Eighth Ave., and begin Friday night at 7:30 followed by a full-day workshop, which begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The conference costs $10 for singles and $15 for couples, and includes lunch and refreshments.

Karan Lapham, local CMA chapter secretary said the meetings will offer upbeat praise and worship as well as exciting messages designed to prepare Christian motorcyclists for a summer of ministry. The conference is open to anyone, regardless of their membership in CMA, or whether or not you are a rider or own a motorcycle, Lapham added.

The Christian Motorcyclists Association is a non-profit, interdenominational organization with the mission of spreading the light of Jesus into the motorcycling community.

Members of the Helena chapter volunteer at various motorcycle events, as well as services, including interstate "Sturgis Rest Stops" where CMA members provide water, coffee, first aid, mechanical needs and prayer to those traveling to and from the annual motorcycle rally at Sturgis, S.D.

CMA also provides a full-time aid station at Sturgis.
