Ann Lindsay, age 81, of Helena, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 21, 2005, at a care facility in Helena. Ann was born June 10, 1924, to Max and Erminia Bonadiman on a farm in Rupert, Idaho. She graduated from high school in 1942 and attended Northwest Business College in Spokane, Washington. Ann worked at the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, Utah. Later she was employed as secretary to the commanding officer at the prisoner of war camp at Paul, Idaho, and then at the prisoner of war camp housing German prisoners at Fort Lewis, Wash.

Ann and William A. Lindsay were married March 4, 1944, at Fort Lewis. After Bill was shipped to the European Theater of WWII, Ann worked as a personnel transaction officer at Minidoka Japanese Relocation Center at Hunt, Idaho.

After Bill was discharged in December of 1945, they sheep-ranched around Conrad, Montana. In March of 1965 they moved to Helena, as owners of Big Sky Water Conditioning Service, until Bill retired in 1980.

Ann is survived by her three sons and daughter; Kent (Dorothy) of Helena, Mark B. (Betty), of Clancy, Scott D. (Colleen) of Helena and Vicki (Norm ) Slead of Helena; sister Clara Hieb of Burley, Idaho; brothers Rudy (Grace) Bonadiman; Henry (Jeanne) Bonadiman of Rupert Idaho; also five grandsons, Jeremy (Kathy) Slead, Jason (Julie) Slead of Helena; Chris Lindsay, of Detroit., Mich., Ryan Lindsay of Helena and Brendan Lindsay of Helena; and granddaughters, Lindsay Slead of Helena, Leslie (Bert) Bartle, of Belgrade, Kelsey Lindsay of Helena and two great grandchildren, Jenalyn and Jaden Slead.

A private family graveside service was held at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. Memorials in Ann's name are suggested to Our House, 2000 Winne Ave., Helena, MT 59601, or to the Hospice of St. Peter's, 2475 Broadway, Helena, MT 59601. Services were under the direction of Retz Funeral Home.
