Roberta Miller, age 89, of Helena died peacefully at her home in Helena on Saturday morning, Feb. 4, 2006.

Audrey Roberta Sanders was born in Caddo Gap, Ark., April 16, 1916, to William E. and Cynthia J. (Miller) Sanders. She received her education and graduated from high school in Sterling City, Texas. She furthered her education attending business college at San Angelo, Texas.

On Aug. 30, 1938, she and Bob Miller were married in Denver. They moved to Montana in August of 1946, where her husband opened a taxidermy shop in Helena. Roberta worked for the Montana Highway Department and retired in July of 1972.

She took great pride and caring pleasure in her family, friends and flowers. Roberta loved her husband dearly, visiting and being with her friends, and enjoyed the outdoors with her husband, Bob.

Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on March 31, 2001, her parents, five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her nieces, nephews, many dear friends including Mary Gail Carmony and Ann Lewis of Helena, who cared for her during her recent illness.

Cremation services have taken place and a graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Helena. Memorials in Roberta's name are suggested to an organization of the donor's choice
