Christina Marie Anderson, 24, died unexpectedly Friday, April 7, 2006, at St. Peter's Hospital in Helena.

Christina was born July 21, 1981, in Helena and graduated from Helena High School in 2000. She attended the University of Montana on Presidential and National Merit scholarships, graduating with high honors in December 2005 with degrees in Spanish and international politics and a minor in Latin American studies.

Christina was a citizen of the world, traveling out of the United States five times during college. She served a diplomatic internship in Sarajevo, Bosnia, studied in Spain and Mexico, and traveled widely in Europe. She had passions for books, music, art and all things Latin American. She was interested in studying developing countries.

Christina is survived by her parents, Cathy and Jock Anderson of Helena; her brothers, Greg and Jay Anderson; her grandmother, Ellen Swift of Missoula; her grandfather, Bill Anderson, and his wife, Colleen, of Helena; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many loving friends.

Christina had a caring and generous spirit. She was greatly loved.

For those wishing to remember Christina in some way, the family suggests donations to the University of Montana Davidson Honors College.

A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 10, at the Retz Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral Mass will held at noon on Tuesday, April 11, at the Cathedral of St. Helena.
