Shawn Eric Charlton passed away on Oct. 25, 2008.

He was born on March 20, 1964, to Dale and Darlene Charlton in Helena. Shawn attended school in Helena, graduating in 1982 from Helena High School.

Throughout his life, Shawn was an adventurous, free spirit who enjoyed having fun in any form. He loved boating on Canyon Ferry Lake and socializing with friends and family. He loved to laugh and made sure everyone was having a good time. He was always the life of the party.

Motorcycles were a central part of Shawn's life. He rode to live and lived to ride. He raced alongside his brother in his younger years and won many trophies. He rode away with his new bride on his Harley Davidson this past July.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Natalee; stepson, Andy; father and mother, Dale and Darlene Charlton; brother, Vince Charlton; sister, Valerie (Jim) Manolovits; nephew, Scott (Hillary) Wandler; nieces, Michelle (Loren) Brown, Klaralee Charlton and Lindsay Charlton; father- and mother-in-law, Mike and Anita Friedrich; and best friend, Otis the Motorcycle Dog.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Trailhead Christian Fellowship Church, located just past the red silos on the way to Townsend. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Forestvale Cemetery. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Hagler-Anderson Funeral Home.
