Last week's Question of the Week asked readers if they thought Ralph Nader should take another run at the presidency. Few did.

Among 354 responses to this unscientific poll, 275 were against the idea, while just 79 favored it.

Some readers' comments:

n No. For better or worse, we have a two-party system in this country. A third party candidate only serves as a "spoiler" in a national election. The few percentage points that Nader garnered in his previous run for the presidency were enough to put Bush in the White House. We cannot afford such disastrous results again. Ralph Nader is a "has been." Another run at the presidency would serve no useful purpose.

n Sure he should run. He is akin to the pope of the religion of global warming and hatred for business. He represents a significant sector of the Democrat Party today, and should give those voters a candidate they can support whole-heartedly. Why should they be denied the opportunity to have a candidate that represents their "values?"

n Yes, it's a free country and anyone who qualifies can run.

n Under no circumstances should Ralph Nader consider running for president in 2008! His most recent campaigns have accomplished nothing but guaranteeing the election of the "Great Decider" and his coterie of sycophants to power in our nation, and that has us into the morass of a war in Iraq from which we have been unable to extricate ourselves. He should do the American people a favor and schedule an appointment with Dr. Kevorkian!
