Be careful of what you are signing

One of the best things about living Montana is that we get to know and trust our neighbors.

Montanans help out neighbors going through tough times. We also draw the line when it comes to anyone poking around our private lives -- especially politicians. It's the Montana way to mind our own business, and we expect others to respect our privacy as well.

Montanans believe this so strongly that we protected our right to privacy in our constitution.

So why is a small group of extremists from the Constitution Party trying to weaken our Montana constitution by taking away that right to privacy? CI-100 is a deceptive and dangerous amendment that threatens the rights of all Montanans.

This election cycle, be careful what you sign. Montana doesn't need more deceptive ballot initiatives. CI-100 won't do anything to reduce the number of abortions in Montana or protect women's health. What we really need to do is reduce unintended pregnancy in the first place. We need to work together to make sure Montanans have access to affordable birth control and medically accurate information about how to prevent unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
