It seems that the liberal elite here in Helena are again going to tell us that they have the answers to all of our problems and if we will just put them back in office they will fix everything that they failed to fix over the last decade. It seems that liberals have a real talent for identifying problems that they created but have no ability to resolve. When asked why they have failed to live up to the promises they made the answer is always without fail that those evil Republicans stopped us from doing it. At this point it would be well to look at some facts. The liberal elite including the local print media have had a monopoly on local government and the sources of information for to many years. We still have a growing poverty population here and meaningful jobs are in short supply, and local government continues to demand more tax money without justifying their alleged need. Just maybe we need to take the slogan of Obama and implement real and dramatic change in Helena in order to break the cycle of low expectations that infects our city and let Helena be all that it has the potential to be.
