CI-100 is an insult

I trust the women of Montana. I trust that we, with help from our families and our doctors, are able to make the best medical decisions for ourselves.

It is evident, however, that Rick Jore and the Constitution Party of Montana believe that women are not able to make such decisions. The Constitution Party obviously feels that women need government intervention in order to make decisions about their own lives and their own health care.

The Constitution Party is the fringe group responsible for CI-100, which says fertilized eggs have the same rights as you and me. CI-100 is not only insulting to the women and men of Montana, but could have far-reaching unintentional effects such as criminalizing women who experience miscarriages.

In the coming months, the Constitution Party will need to gather about 45,000 signatures across Montana. I'll be standing together with the people of Montana by NOT signing my name to a document which devalues women and families. I hope you'll do the same.
