A cost of privatization

Thanks to Bush's privatized military housing, if you live in base housing you can be evicted at whim.

Just ask two families living in Bellevue, Neb., who are being evicted while their husbands are currently deployed. One of these families is from Helena: our son-in-law, a U.S.A.F. member currently deployed, our daughter, and our grandchildren ages 3 and 11. To add insult to injury, these families have been terrorized by the civilian contractors in charge of base housing at Offutt AFB, Neb.

The U.S.A.F, although sympathetic, is apparently powerless to deal with the civilian contractor, Rising View, formerly known as America First. Shades of Halliburton. These kids have been harassed, intimidated, publicly humiliated, their civil liberties violated and their children traumatized by Rising View. My son-in-law has been deployed several times since the beginning of the "war on terror" and has served under difficult circumstances. I can only imagine the strength and courage it takes to be deployed and do his duty under the present circumstance. My daughter has been a rock being both mom and dad during these many deployments. They don't deserve the back of the hand from some petty corporate tyrant.
