I have tried for many weeks to compose a letter about my awesome experience with the Spring 40 Days for Life Campaign. So many parts of my experience praying outside of Planned Parenthood were rewarding. The candlelight vigil was moving, as a birthday candle was lit for each of the 2,000 Montana children who may not celebrate their first birthday this year because of abortion.
Nothing was quite so powerful and awe inspiring as standing next to women -- young and older -- who had an abortion themselves. I met many who now wish to encourage other moms to find another choice. These women shared with me how difficult it has been since their decision. I encourage all to join me in praying no women shall ever have to endure that pain again. My prayer, and I hope yours, will also be for healing of any women who now feel or someday will feel that pain for a decision in the past.
The end of abortion will not come in the illegal killing of abortion providers. The end of abortion will come with the realization by those pregant and their trusted advisors that abortion isn't the answer. Abortion causes more pain and harm than good.
