The liberal media, Miss California and spicy mustard

The May 11 edition of the IR ran a letter and a Mallard Fillmore comic that made the same spurious claim: Miss California, Carrie Prejean, is under attack in the "mainstream liberal press" for her stance on same-sex marriage, but no one has criticized President Obama for having the same stance. Hypocrisy!

It would be a good example of hypocrisy, if it were true. Thing is, I can't find any mainstream news outlet that attacked Miss Prejean.

Ever heard of Google? I highly recommend it, especially to those of you who get the vapors from watching Fox "News." The world's not as bad as you think. Not in the way you think, anyway. It's worse, actually, but that's another letter.

It's easy to find special-interest groups that take Prejean to task, but they are uniformly consistent, holding Obama to the same standard. The alleged hypocrisy is just not there. Unsurprisingly, it's easy to find an overabundance of conservative news outlets echoing the same indictment of the so-called liberal press for the same imaginary transgression. None that I looked at provided any evidence to support the claim.

Next from the far-right: Condiments in our schools! Dijon mustard is making our kids French!
