Kindness of strangers

On Sunday, March 7, my friend was traveling home to Missoula when her drive train fell and was hanging from her truck.

A stranger turned around after seeing her rolling backwards down MacDonald Pass. He happened to be a mechanic. Through communication difficulties (my friend is deaf) he decided to help.

He proceeded to have his girl friend drive to the pass to bring blocks so he could move his truck from behind my friend's truck. That evening he and his girlfriend made four trips from East Helena to the pass to get the vehicle down. The next morning he bought the parts, fixed the drive train, filled all engine fluids, filled the tank with gas and delivered the truck to my friend without charge. Their names are Chris Jones and Melinda Wilcox, two of the most selfless people I have ever met. Words cannot express my gratitude. Their act has renewed our faith in the power of God through the kindness of strangers.
