The Pennies for Progress committee thanks the Helena School District and local businesses for their involvement in this month's 10 Million Penny Campaign!

It has been exciting to see our community come together and support this fundraiser, which will benefit our local Head Start as well as the Central Asia Institute. There are a couple of weeks left and still plenty of ways to get involved. On Tuesdays at 4 p.m. in February there are "3 Cups of Tea" Parties at Benny's that cost $15 for adults and $7 for students with part of the proceeds going toward Pennies for Progress and include three kinds of tea, accompanying treats and great conversation. On Feb. 26, Eleanor Edmunds, founder of Friends of Aschiana, will speak about the status of international aid work and building a school in Afghanistan. And of course, collect your pennies and other change and give them to a school child to donate or bring them to any bank or credit union for the Pennies for Progress account. Check the Web site: penniesforprogress.org. Thank you so much for supporting this effort!
