I read the "Your Turn" article (April 29) by Steve Doherty, Jim Posewitz, Land Tawney and Kendall VanDyk on "Obama Backs Gun Rights." What a complete sack of garbage that is!

Those guys wrote that Obama realizes Montana gun laws should not be the same as those in Chicago. I always thought we were the United States and the Second Amendment applied to every American citizen having the right to keep and bear arms. If this Obama gets elected president, is he ging to keep gun control in Illinois and not in Montana? It does not make sense to me as he keeps preaching he is a uniter, not a divider.

Since his short time in the Senate, he has not supported any gun-rights bill but has approved the D.C. gun ban, which does not allow one to even have a handgun in one's own home! The NRA rates him as a F minus so gun owners beware when you go to the polls. We need a president that honors the Constitution, not a dictator. There is only one good gun control and that is holding it firmly in your hand.
