Although L.O.S.T. (Law Of the Sea Treaty) would threaten American sovereignty by giving the United Nations control of the oceans, ratification of the treaty is still a top priority of the Obama administration and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. If ratified it would be the largest transfer of sovereignty and wealth in U.S. history.

All ocean space, on, under, above, is included. It will override domestic laws covering coastal waters and human activities on rivers and anything claimed to be harming marine environment. Companies intending to mine the ocean floor (drill for oil) would need permits and pay royalties to the U.N. It confers on the U.N. the ability to tax America directly without congressional approval.

Our Navy's unhindered access to the ocean seas is crucial to our defense at home and the protection of our interests abroad, not to mention commercial operations. We have functioned quite well without the treaty.

Contact our senators and ask them to say "NO" to this New World Order power grab.
